Feds Develop Truthy Database To Stop Hate On Twitter

Are you a bully or hatemonger? Well then, stay the hell off Twitter (if you click that link, irony ensues). Don’t just stay off because nobody wants/needs your input, stay off because the federal government is building a database to track people who use hatespeech on Twitter.

Called Truthy, the database was designed by scientists at Indiana University and its aim is to wipe out cyberpollution. According to Fox News, “The National Science Foundation is financing the creation of a web service that will monitor ‘suspicious memes’ and what it considers ‘false and misleading ideas,’ with a major focus on political activity online.” One million dollars is being spent in the development of the database, which will use the free and public statements of criminal elements against themselves.
I guess it’s time to stop taunting that “Drunk Incredible Hulk” Twitter account …
