Hannah Hart, YouTube’s own cocktail-chugging kitchen queen, can now add “published author” to her resume. Hannah’s new book, “My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide To Eating, Drinking, And Going With Your Gut” hits stores today. One part cook book, one part self-help guide to life, the book combines the themes of Hart’s popular YouTube channel and distills them into print.
If there’s one thing that Hannah Hart knows, it’s how to follow your gut. Her YouTube career was launched almost entirely by chance. Her first video was a boozy kitchen tutorial made to entertain a friend back home, but when that video found an unexpected audience, it was Hart’s gut instincts that lead her to pursue it. The risk paid off to the tune of 1.3 million subscribers and over 100 million views. Hart has drunkenly punned her way through recipes with everyone from YouTube royalty like Grace Helbig and John Green, to mainstream stars like Mary Louise Parker and Jamie Oliver.
Hannah’s new book mirrors her popular videos. She blends her pro tips for cooking nachos with straight-forward advice about how to live your best life. Hannah can tell you how to work toward making your dreams a reality and how to pair the perfect cocktail with a cake made out of pizza. The book is readily available on Amazon and has already jumped to the top of the e-commerce site’s bestseller list thanks to Hannah’s massive online following.
Hannah’s new book, published by Harper Collins, joins a growing list of shelf-stuffers produced by some of YouTube’s biggest names. YouTube’s other famous kitchen warriors, Epic Meal Time, released their own cookbook early last year. Other creators like beauty vlogger Zoella, comedian Shane Dawson, and Hart’s friend and frequent collaborator Grace Helbig have all recently announced book deals of their own.
