Lindsey Stirling Becomes A Disney Princess

There’s another big get for Maker Studios today. The Disney-owned multi-channel network has signed “dubstep violinist” Lindsey Stirling to its growing roster of talent. She will join the massive network of over 55,000 content creators that call Maker home, although as one of the internet’s most recognizable faces it’s likely that she won’t be just a number. Lindsey brings with her 5.3 million subscribers and well over 750 million views to add to Maker’s already impressive totals.

Stirling is one of YouTube’s biggest success stories. She began building a following on the site way back in 2007, but her star didn’t really take off until her appearance on the fifth season of “America’s Got Talent.” She made it to the quarter finals before being dismissed from the show, but her reality TV defeat was the perfect launching pad for her YouTube career. Building on the momentum the show had given her she has built an audience of staggering size and been rewarded with a record deal, a world tour, and most recently, a return visit to the stage of “America’s Got Talent,” this time as a featured performer.

This isn’t Lindsey’s first time signing on to an MCN. She was previously represented by Maker rival Fullscreen. In addition to managing Stirling’s primary music channel, LindseyStomp, which boasts 5.26 million subscribers and 722 million views, Maker will also take charge of her personal vlogging channel, LindseyTime, which clocks in at 336,000 subscribers and an impressive 18 million views. Maker will manage all of Lindsey’s online endeavors and represent her to digital advertisers. However, her music career will continue to be managed by Troy Carter, who most famously managed Lady Gaga’s rise to fame.
