We have good news for Androids users who are tired of watching their YouTube videos in boring, grainy 1080p. The newest version of the YouTube app now supports videos in the highest resolution currently possible, the mythical 1440p. We warn you: Clicking onto a YouTube video on your mobile device may now feel like opening a tiny rectangular hole in the universe through which you can view another time and place with perfect clarity. Do not be afraid — using the new app will probably not tear all of reality asunder. Probably.
There are a few limitations, however. First of all, your device has to support resolutions higher than 1080p. Also, obviously, the video has to be uploaded in a 1440p or higher. This is technology, not magic. Other than that, feel free to enjoy video so clear it is literally terrifying.
