Multi-channel network Fullscreen set social media buzzing earlier this summer when they announced INTOUR, a new addition to the growing roster of conferences and gatherings that bring fans face-to-face with their favorite internet stars. Today Fullscreen has announced that the tour will be headlined by two of the biggest emerging stars of Vine, Jack Gilinsky and Jack Johnson, better known by fans as the music and comedy duo Jack and Jack.
The two Jacks are already a major draw for competing social media gathering DigiTour. With a combined following of nearly 7 million fans across Twitter, Vine, and Instagram Jack and Jack are sure help attendance at the fledgling festival although they’ll have plenty of help in that department. Fullscreen is digging deep into their talent roster to stock INTOUR with some of its most in-demand stars. Creators in attendance will include Ricky Dillion and his former O2L collaborator Connor Franta as well as JennXPenn and NMR pal Charity Vance
Demand for social media stars is at an all-time high and a number of companies and organizers are scrambling to bring them together under one roof. Old-school events like VidCon which first emerged as a gathering for creators have exploded in popularity giving way to the rise of fan spectacles like DigiTour, Playlist Live and newcomers like SocialCon and INTOUR. The message is clear: online audiences want the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite internet personalities and they’re willing to pay top dollar to do it.
VIP tickets for the event, which include meet and greets and backstage access, have already sold out and general admission tickets are going fast. The announcement of Jack and Jack is likely to speed up sales so if you’ve been on the fence about attending now is the time to make your move.
