Really, when you think about it, every month should be “Cancer Month.” Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers and one of the most easily avoidable. Filmmaker Thomas Leveritt set up an ultraviolet camera to document this by showing people with “flawless skin” how the “sun sees them.” It turns out people are pretty freckled and affected when seen in different light. Thomas then goes on to show that like glass, sunscreen blocks harmful UV rays. The change is radical.
The bottom line? Stay indoors, wear sunscreen, get one of those old lady visors or risk looking like a piece of leather when you get old. Be cancer smart, people.
