It all started like this: Apple contacted OK GO because they were interested in doing a project together — a project that ultimately never happened. Apple then went ahead and recruited the creative team behind OK GO’s latest viral vid “The Writing’s On The Wall” and made an advertisement that seems to match up suspiciously in places — a real “Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz” kind of thing.
Mashable’s YouTube team even took the time to, well, mash the two videos together and show their similarities side-by-side. Does OK GO actually have a case? Probably not, but it’s fun to report dishy internet drama.
