So you like stories about companies and production houses partnering up, do you? Well you’ve come to the right place. MCN Omnia Media announced this morning that they were forming a joint venture with online marketing gurus Channel Factory to create a new superventure called Content Labs (ooh, sorry Omnia, you don’t get to be part of the name … lost the coin flip, didja?).
Of course you could hear it from us, or you could let Tony Chen, CEO of Channel Factory tell it: “The partnership between Channel Factory and Omnia Media will provide a true native advertising approach for advertisers as we’ll be combining customized authentic content with contextual media placement. This will be the key to the question of ‘how to print money through YouTube.'”
The idea, according to the press release, is to offer marketers highly targeted distribution on and off YouTube along with custom branded content created by digital influencers within the Omnia Media MCN.
As far as money-printing ideas go, this one seems more legal and innovative than some of my own ideas …
