YouTubers Countdown Their Music Video Faves For Vevo

Do you sometimes wake up in the middle of the night scream-crying because you miss TRL so much? No? I guess that’s just me then. But everyone loves a good music countdown show. Vevo knows this, and they just want you to be happy. That’s why they’ve secured a pack of YouTube stars to host their latest original video series, “High Fives.” Forget Carson Daly, instead your favorite YouTubers will count down their five top music video picks in various categories for your viewing pleasure. Each video will focus on a different theme so we’ll get a bit of insight into our hosts favorite video jams.

The show launched yesterday with a Halloween-themed episode in which vampire DJ Flula counts down his five favorite spooky music videos. The list is impressively comprehensive. It turn out, unsurprisingly, that Flula has pretty eclectic taste since he manages to hit both Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and “The Kill” from Thirty Seconds to Mars. I do have to deduct major points for snubbing The Backstreet Boys’ horror classic “Everybody.” I thought I knew you, Flula!

Seriously Flula! What were you thinking?!

Vevo has been tightlipped about who else we can expect to host episodes of High Fives, but we can’t wait to find out. Let us know what you think and try to forgive Flula for his egregious oversight.
