Every time I’m reminded that the kid from the Rachael Taylor/Gillian Anderson smash hit Crisis has a YouTube channel, I’m like, “Oh, right, it’s kinda weird how the kid from the Rachael Taylor/Gillian Anderson smash hit Crisis has a YouTube channel.” And then I get irritated because I feel his character ultimately made some rather poor choices in that short-lived action-packed thriller, and because I miss yelling “CRISIS” for no reason.
But yes, Max Schneider (who appears to prefer styling his name as just MAX, and who I should mention was also in the Disney channel original series How to Rock, if only to explain my title choice for this article) has a YouTube channel on which he posts a whole bunch o’ (quite good!) covers and sometimes even original songs. The latest of these (cover, not original) is none other than the fantastical TSwift single “Blank Space.”
Now, MAX plays this song with a ukelele. This is not a ukulele song (author is admittedly biased against ukeleles). You have been warned. However, he has a great voice, so that, along with the fact that the viewer has no choice but to start to wonder if this video is actually a cover (har har, get it) for a song-length descent into madness, kind of makes up for the ukulele part.
Sorry, I had to.
