20 Styles of Music in One Christmas Song

When I was a kid, my parents and I would always argue over what kind of Christmas music to listen to, since we HAD to. My mom wanted upbeat a cappella, my dad soothing choral arrangements, and I only wanted to listen to Hanson. Somebody always wound up unhappy. Usually my parents because they couldn’t always figure out how to work the CD player.

Well Anthony Vincent over at TenSecondSongs has come up with a solution to such a dispiriting holiday problem!

His channel, though sparsely populated with videos, is primarily dedicated to covering songs using short clips of different styles. Not just general styles of music like some of our favorite YouTubers do, but usually in the styles of specific bands.

And now he has a Christmas song: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You.” Going from Blink 182 to Il Divo to Trans-Siberian Orchestra to 17 other styles, Anthony really encapsulates each of the bands he imitates fantastically with both skill and humor. This is a Christmas I can get behind.

This is the only holiday song he has on his channel at the moment, but if you’re wanting more, check out some of these other gems, too.

Share this with your social media peeps because ’tis the giving season, apparently.
