Buzzfeed Asks What It’s Like For Girls On YouTube

Buzzfeed Yellow asked nine of its female creators to go on camera and give their thoughts on the sexist comments they receive on a daily basis. Unsurprisingly, none of them like your degrading YouTube comments — especially ones that have nothing to do with the content they are putting out. Guess you’ll have to go back to whistling and grabbing your crotch when they saunter by your construction site.

The creators, who include Gaby Dunn and Amy Vorpal, read some of their most incendiary and outright cruel messages — ones mentioning how the girls might be particularly attractive, unattractive or a race traitor. Yeah, people are weird.

Because we’re kind of a slap-in-the-face organization, we’ve decided to rank the girls in the video from prettiest to ugliest.

No, we’re not really going to do that — and you should be ashamed of yourself for thinking that we might. Perhaps you should watch this video a few more times — clearly the message hasn’t sunken in yet.

For shame.
