Yes, we know, you basically can’t be a YouTuber in 2014 without having a book deal. So in a lot of ways, Felicia Day‘s announcement that she wrote a memoir isn’t exactly surprising.
But it’s Felicia Day! Nerd queen of the internet! Even if not surprising, it’s still exciting! Who doesn’t love Felicia Day?? (Okay, besides GamerGate. But we all know they don’t count.)
Not too many details have been released yet, but she does say her book, You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost), will feature previously untold stories about “being homeschooled, playing videogames for [her] whole life, moving to Hollywood and being paid to eat sandwiches, running a whole company, to everything in between,” as well as photos from various times in her life we haven’t seen before (check out the video for an amusing modeling shot of 14-year-old Felicia).
The book is set to be released in August 2015, and can be preordered from feliciadaybook.com. I’m whipping my credit card out right now… and hoping this release isn’t fraught with controversy like some other YouTuber books…
