How do you keep your neighbors from going ballistic over your brilliant spectacle of a Christmas light display that blares a medley of Star Wars songs to a syncopated flickering bulb display?
Make it a “charity thing.”
Tom BetGeorge has scored a viral hit with his annual Christmas light display. Raising money for charity through donations and Adsense, the creator gets to profit off of George Lucas’ brainchild through his association with Fullscreen.
And as for the cost of the lighting cutting into his charity offerings? BetGeorge uses LED light bulbs, so the whole thing costs him “about $100” to run for the entire month of December. See, people? Captain Planet was right.
