I’m sure some of you have seen the latest Bud Light Super Bowl commercial. If you haven’t, go ahead and check it out above. We’ll wait.
Now what looks like a single night of insanity was actually shot over the course of two days, smack dab in the middle of Downtown LA. How do I know this? Because one of those office buildings in the background there is the location of NMR headquarters.
Those two filming days did not include the construction days in which Pink Floyd was blasted at full volume, but it was Pink Floyd so we’ll give that day a pass, because at the very least the music was good.
I’m sure by now you must be thinking, but this commercial was shot at night! There’s not a ton of business going on a night! Except at this time of year the sun sets at 5pm at the latest (it’s pretty damn dark by 4:30), so many of us who were still working were treated to blaring music, strobe lights and screaming crowds. It made work impossible for anyone within a six mile radius of the installation.
Did I mention the maze was reset multiple times per night?
What I’m getting at is, this commercial is bad and they should feel bad for making it.
Share this article if you think Bud Light should give NMR a year’s supply of beer to make up for the inconvenience, those jerks.
