You want the best in hip hop online? Something tells us that it is going to be Opposition, a new BroadbandTV venture seeking to bridge YouTube with ALL of hip hop.
For those of you who only know the name “World Star Hip Hop” because people yell it any time something crazy happens in a video they are filming, just know that it is the urban hotspot for video aggregation and new music from hip hop artists. It’s an emerging beast in the world of video content, and with jumping aboard BroadBandTV’s Opposition train, it stands to become even more prevalent.
The network, which seeks to connect hip hoppers with their fans and provide a forum as well as a connection tool to strengthen the industry at large, is the brain child of our buddies at BroadbandTV.
“We’re really focused on driving forward the whole online video ecosystem around music based content for a diverse range of talent,” comments Ali Adab, VP of Content & Partnerships, BroadbandTV. “With Opposition, we understand that Hip Hop content creators have drastically different needs than other creators, and we have worked to create a community that respects this, while providing them with the infrastructure and solutions to capitalize on the unique opportunity online video offers.”
Other entities are also involved in the creation included All Hip Hop All the Time, Crooked I – now known as KXNG Crooked – of Slaughterhouse, Twista and Yung Simmie; producers Jahlil Beats, 1500 or Nothin’ and Statik Selektah; directors Mr. Zae and Hi-Def, so if those names mean something to you, prepare to be excited.
