Welp, add Connor Franta’s name to the list of authors who YouTube. Or YouTubers that author? His first memoir, and likely not his last, drops April 21, 2015 from Simon and Schuster Publishing. Called A Work In Progress, the non-fiction tome contains stories and life lessons from Franta’s very eventful life so far.

News of the book came via a series of cryptic tweets which read:

Basically it sounded more like he was announcing that he was going to return home to his planet of beautiful human-looking aliens, but this is also something pretty interesting.

As the PR folks at Simon & Schuster spin it: “In his debut memoir, Connor Franta offers a look at his Midwestern upbringing as one of four children in the home and one of five in the classroom; his struggles with identity, body image, and sexuality in his teen years; and his decision to finally pursue his creative and artistic passions in his early twenties, setting up his thrilling career as a YouTube personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and tastemaker.”

So that’s pretty cool.
