It’s Friday the 13th, the most terrifying day of all for camp counselors and, arguably, the rest of us. So YouTube channel LiveSciFi is taking advantage of the creepy factor by doing a livestream hosting today from the MOST HAUNTED house in America.
What makes it the most haunted? Oh I don’t know, how about a couple people have DIED THERE! What’s that? A lot of people have died in a lot of houses? Yeah, tell me about it. The research on this place seems sketchy at best: it is haunted by a little girl named Sallie, but apparently no one can find a record of a Sallie ever living in the house. And it doesn’t seem anyone ever died violently in this Kansas home. It’s just one of those things that spontaneously decided to start haunting some guy who lived at the house in the 1990s. Hmm.
Full disclosure: I don’t believe in ghosts. I spent years as a crime scene cleaner, often working alone in houses where people had just recently died — accidents, suicides, murders, old age, you name it. People who had killed themselves in a bitter rage? Yup. These are the kinds of scenarios that would be rife for ghosts and hauntings, but nope.
And yet, I like to be scared. I like creepy things that go bump in the night. I don’t believe in ghosts but I believe in being spooked, if that makes any sense. So I am excited about this livestream. I don’t think anything will happen to the LiveSciFi crew (like NASCAR, we only tune in to things hoping something horrible will happen), but I’ll be watching all the same.
The livestream will begin at 11pm EST today, so keep checking back here needlessly before then, praying some footage goes up by accident.
