NMR superfriends Rhett & Link have done us a service: they just released a video today clarifying that four enormously viral videos released online were hoaxes. Of course, while I used to live in a sort of stasis of “head up my ass” when it comes to fake videos, choosing to believe that the world is full of leprechauns, magic and eagles carrying off babies, their video was my wakeup call.
Mayhaps I’m a tinge too dramatic, but Rhett and Link have convinced me to go full skeptic … internet nihilist even. I believe in nothing, Lebowski. Now I don’t even trust videos without any sort of gimmick to it. Grace Helbig is a myth perpetuated by Big Pharma. Those two giant turtles humping? Bullshit. Wait … this means …. that the Rhett & Link video IS ALSO A FAKE! And that means, those videos they say are fake could be real …
And just like that, I’m back in! I friggin’ knew the world was magical. I need to invest in an eagle-proof hat or something. If anyone knows where I can send a bunch of money to facilitate my not getting carried off by winged predators, please let me know.
And can I just thank Rhett & Link for exposing me to the majesty that is this:
In the meantime, here are a couple of other videos that are totally real on the internet:
