As the clock ticks down on the series finale of Mad Men, the 50s/60s-set television series look into the drama of Madison Avenue, Google Play is dipping into the action.
Lionsgate, the production company behind Mad Men, has partnered with Google Play to create an immersive fan experience. According to the release: “The Mad Men Experience starts at g.co/MadMen, an interactive, art exhibit-style website where the viewer is invited to relive magical moments from the series and take a deeper look at the show’s characters, themes and historical timeline. Fans can see over 300 assets including rarely seen artwork, interviews with cast, audio commentaries and other features released for the first time in a digital environment including exclusive never-before-released content.”
Incredibly popular as a search topic on Google throughout its seven seasons, the company recognized the benefits of creating additional content based around the series and its star Don Draper (as played by Jon Hamm). So now all seven seasons are available on Google Play with the first episode for FREE!
“Mad Men has captivated audiences and placed them squarely in the cocktail culture of mid-century Madison Avenue. As die-hard fans ourselves, we’re excited to collaborate with Lionsgate to share this unique Mad Men experience that gives everyone a chance to explore and interact with each season on Google Play long after the series concludes,” said Jessica Igoe, Global Media and Content Partnership Marketing for Google Play.
Sounds like you fans of advertising will be well taken care of even after the series says goodbye.
