Today I F*cked Up, and It Was Glorious Enough To Post Online

To some people, one of the great mysteries on the internet is Reddit. For the uninitiated, think of Reddit as a sort of super forum. Now there are several thousand subreddits which cater to a specific interest. Today we’re going to talk about one of my favorite subs: r/tifu.

R/tifu is short for Today I F*cked Up, and it’s filled with a plethora of hilarious, awkward stories about the moments in which you hang your head in shame and admit “I f*cked up.” If you haven’t had a laugh today, or hell, if you messed up too, some of these stories might just make you feel a little less embarrassed, and a little more human.

NSFW Warnings go here. Have fun!

1. TIFU by Punching my 5 year old in the face and knocking him out

I don’t even care if this is post from today, I was laughing so hard, Christine turned around and stared for a few minutes while I tried to explain what was so funny between wheezy, gasping breaths. I had only read the title.

2. TIFU by enraging the parents of my girlfriend by pretending not to know what a potato is.

I have no idea why he did this. I don’t think he does either. RIP 2nd girlfriend.

3. TIFU in court.

Sweet, simple, hilarious.

4. TIFU by trying to be nice to the weird guy at work.

We’ve all met this guy, in some way or another, at some point in life, and this poor bastard had to team up with him for lazer tag.

5. TIFU by out-farting a cabbie on the way to the airport

The coups de gras. Every time I see this pop up, I can’t take my eyes away from it. In advance, I apologize to those with more delicate sensibilities and to everyone else I say: Enjoy!

Now there is one more story I’d like to share, but it’s no longer on Reddit and that is probably because it’s fake, but if you’re in for the long haul (and let’s face it, if you’ve hit the bottom of this article, you probably are) I present the story of Jenny and Carly, and the guy who gave up to the minute updates about how he caught his wife cheating. It even got its own website, that is accepting submissions. If you want to read the 3ish-part epic saga, click here.

Did you make it through the walls of text? Wasn’t it worth it? Share this with your friends, they could probably use the laugh!
