British YouTuber Feng Shou Yin was arrested, charged and convicted of using an air rifle to kill birds and post the kills to YouTube.

The man, who claims he thought he was doing “pest control,” was fined roughly $3000 American, which is £2000 in English currency. Yin, 35, a member of the British AirGun Shooting Association (no way does that sound like a lame club to be associated with), “pleaded guilty to nine charges under the Wildlife and Countryside Act of either killing or attempting to kill birds at Birmingham Magistrates Court,” according to the UK Daily Mail.

Yin had to surrender his £700 air rifle to the police after “blasting pigeons, blackbirds, a starling and a magpie.”

Posting several videos of his shooting prowess to his channel, Yin evidently did not consider squirrels to be vermin of the order of birds, because he filmed several squirrels eating or capering about and murdered none of those.

While his more brutal videos have been taken offline evidently, here is a video of Yin shooting and killing a fixed target.

Say what you want about Yin’s cruelty to animals, the guy is lethal with a pellet gun.
