E3: The Big Announcements (So Far) 6/15/15

While this is considered “industry day” for E3, Los Angeles’ big gaming convention, we’ve seen a few big announcements come out regarding the future of the industry for certain companies, like Microsoft and EA, and gaming properties like Fallout 4.

Here are the big announcements thus far:

-Backwards compatibility for the Xbox One is coming soon.
You’ll be able to play your Xbox 360 games on it, basically.

-New Xbox One Controller
Increased functionality, connectivity with Microsoft’s Windows 10

-Xbox One Game Preview
Like Steam’s Early Access, you can demo games before they’re finished.

-Minecraft gets HoloLens reboot
Microsoft will be unleashing Minecraft through their hologram tech company for added dimension.
