For CDS, apparently YouTubers are like Pokémon: gotta collect them all! The MCN has made several impressive deals just in the last few months to bulk out an already impressive roster. Their latest partnership? Boyce Avenue, the most-viewed indie band of them all.
Massive stars on YouTube already, Boyce Avenue, which consists of three brothers — Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano, will be able to work with CDS’ connections to continue building their already considerable fan base. The news of their signing additionally comes right on the heels of their reaching 2 billion views on YouTube.
“We joined YouTube only two years after its launch before being a YouTube star was a thing. We knew this was a platform from which we could share our music internationally with our fans in a very direct and personal way. It’s been amazing to see how appreciative and receptive all our followers have been worldwide. We’re excited to partner with CDS, a company with a lot of experience in both the music industry and the digital media arena, to continue to provide our fans with even more videos and music and push things to a new level,” said Boyce Avenue.
According to the release, Boyce Avenue has been independent since leaving Universal Republic Music in 2010 but during that time has also racked up impressive sales totals of 400,000 albums, 5.3 million tracks and nearly 450 million streams.
Under CDS’ guidance, they can expect to rack up quite a bit more just on the strength of collabs alone.
