Want to see a tough break? This 12-year-old kid stumbles while walking in a museum and puts out his hand to break his fall — right through a $1.5 million dollar painting. The security video, from a museum in Taiwan, details the incident and aftermath as the boy clearly knows he screwed up. Reportedly, the boy and his family were terrified they’d have to pay for the painting, but the museum isn’t even making them pay the restoration costs for Paolo Popora’s oil on canvas “Flowers.”
The painting, which is insured and part of a private collection, will be sent back to Italy for a fix. That clumsy kid probably won’t be allowed near museums any time soon though.
