Bernie Su is right in the sweet spot of his career. Winning his second Emmy Award last night, Su has shown that he not only has the goods, he is the goods. Of course, we’re beyond certain that Bernie would say that if he is tall, it is because he stood on the shoulders of giants, but that’s just the kind of classy guy he is.
Earning the Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media – Original Interactive Program on his series Emma Approved, Su, who co-founded Canvas Media Studios, is the first person in the history of the category to win twice. His first award came from the series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, which transcribed 19th century novel Pride and Prejudice for a modern online audience.
Emma Approved is his second visit to Jane Austen’s canon as Su has given her work Emma a similar update starring Joanna Sotomura.
Congratulations Bernie and Pemberley Digital, we can’t wait to see what nets you your third Emmy (and so on …).
