New Webseries Celebrities in Golf Carts Hilariously Mixes Hollywood and Sports

With guests like comedian Rob Riggle and Kunal Nayyar from The Big Bang Theory.

L.A. based sports radio personality Mark Willard is the host of the  new online show Celebrities in Golf Carts, which premiered on October 13 on both YouTube and CelebritiesinGolfCarts.com.

The web series follows Mark Willard as he plays golf with both Hollywood celebrities and athletes. The show has a laidback feel with Willard and his guests engaging in a bit of casual conversation before squaring off in a friendly competition. The format is immediately reminiscent of Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, but rather than a caffeinated pick-me-up, each episode of Celebrities in Golf Cars ends as all sports outings should…with a beer.

The SCGA hopes that Celebrities in Golf Carts will not only give viewers a window into what makes the Southern California golf community so special, but also find new fans by highlighting the social nature of golf. And, you know, if they can get you to bust a gut laughing along the way, all the better.

The first two episodes feature comedian/actor Rob Riggle and The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar and are available to view now.

Episodes of the show will be released weekly, and upcoming guests include actors Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Haley Joel Osment and former baseball star Nomar Garciaparra.
