“Because you’re Sherlock Holmes,” is definitely the best reason ever to wear a silly hat.
Sherlock fans, it’s been a long wait since February 2014. Heck, it’s been a long wait since our first look at the new special this last July, replete with the promise that it was “Coming Soon…ish.”
Well, a new trailer is here, and it’s upgraded the forecast do a definitive “Coming Soon.” Meanwhile, the show looks ready to plunge into some of it’s darkest material yet, albeit while retaining the quick-witted charm that’s made it (and the character of Sherlock Holmes) so popular over the years.
The special comes between series 3 and series 4 of the show and will be a full, feature length production. Of course, that’s not much of a stretch for a show with episodes regularly nearing the hour and a half mark in length.
Series 4, meanwhile, is set to enter production early next year.
