Pittsburgh Steelers Star Pays for 53 Mammograms

This time up it’s running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers DeAngelo Williams.

NFL star DeAngelo Williams is thinking pink and raising awareness for breast cancer during the month of October! After losing his mother to breast cancer at the age of 53, DeAngelo’s honoring her in a mighty way. The Pittsburgh Steelers running back is helping the fight against breast cancer by sporting pink all month long.

But he’s doing more than just symbolic gestures. One of the biggest factors in breast cancer survival is early detection, so Williams is paying for 53 women in need to get free get mammograms at hospitals in their neighborhoods.
