HIS ROLE IN CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
Black Panther is on the side of Sokovia Accords, meaning he wants government oversight on superhero activities. Wakanda and Sokovia were both epicenters of superhero smackdowns, each taking massive collateral damage. This is on top of the other implications of wreckless superhero activity, such as the anti-Iron Man graffiti in Sokovia prior to Ultron’s “birth.”
Black Panther wants action. He wants change. He’s dissatisfied with the way the world is, and he’s willing to take direct action to change it. Platitudes that absolutely mirror Coogler’s.
Is Coogler the best possible director for Black Panther?
You better believe it.
